In July 2004, True North embarked on a collaboration with the Danish wind ensemble Blaeserkompagniet and Danish Radio to realize a concert performance and recording at Frederiksvaerk Musikfestival in northern Zealand. The members of the Blaeserkompagniet included Claus Ettrup Larsen on flute, Ulrich Ortmann on oboe, Klaus Tönshoff on clarinet, Jonas Lindström, and Jacob Dam Fredens on bassoon.

The performance was realized at the historic Gjethuset cannon factory that is used by the festival as a concert venue. Danish Radio provided rehearsal space at its studios in Copenhagen and recorded the concert onsite for broadcast in Denmark and the surrounding region.
